en.Wedoany.com Reported - Aquatech announced on August 3 that it has completed the acquisition of Metito Chemical Solutions (METICHEM), headquartered in the UAE. The company, now renamed Metichem, operates as an Aquatech enterprise, integrating specialty chemicals and operations and maintenance expertise to help customers achieve environmental and operational goals in the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia.

This merger combines Aquatech's global project experience with Metichem's local roots, delivering more complete water lifecycle solutions. Both companies have decades of successful track records in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, having executed key projects in the UAE, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia.

The combined portfolio covers treatment technologies, specialty chemicals, operations and maintenance services, and digital solutions, designed to enhance efficiency, reliability, and sustainability across all stages of the water lifecycle.

On July 30, more than 300 employees from three continents gathered in celebration to welcome Metichem into Aquatech, marking a new chapter of growth for the combined organization. The acquisition completion coincides with Aquatech's 45th anniversary.

Mike Abla, Managing Director of Metichem, stated that the dedication of employees has brought the company to where it is today, thanked the Aquatech team for treating Metichem as a partner throughout the process, and expressed anticipation for the future together. Andrew Parke, Executive Vice President of Services at Aquatech, noted that Metichem has built a strong company through its commitment to customers and operational excellence, and that Aquatech respects those achievements and is excited to embark on this new chapter together. Devesh Sharma, CEO of Aquatech, stated that this partnership brings together two organizations with shared values, complementary strengths, and a common commitment to customers, hoping to learn from each other, grow together, and create greater value for customers worldwide.

Existing contracts, service agreements, and points of contact remain unchanged, and customers of both Aquatech and Metichem can continue working with their original business representatives.
