India's Bluebird Solar Secures 278 MW Solar Module Order

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Indian solar module manufacturer Bluebird Solar has secured a 278 MW solar photovoltaic module supply order from Bridge & Roof Company (India) Ltd. The products will be used in two solar power projects developed by SJVN: the Khavda project in Gujarat (133 MW) and the Nawa project in Rajasthan (145 MW), with the supply model being 600 Wp M10R N-Type TOPCon bifacial dual-glass solar photovoltaic modules. Bluebird Solar has not disclosed the delivery timeline for this order, and the SJVN projects may not be subject to mandatory Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) rules.

Commenting on this order, Bluebird Solar CEO Rohit Tikku stated that the order reflects the company's commitment to quality, technology, and project execution. He said the company is pleased to receive the order from Bridge & Roof Company for the SJVN projects. As India accelerates its renewable energy transition, the company will continue to deliver high-performance solar photovoltaic modules to support large-scale clean energy generation.

Bluebird Solar currently operates a 2.5 GW automated solar photovoltaic module manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, supplying products to utility-scale, commercial, industrial, and residential projects across India.

As part of its expansion strategy, the company plans to build 2.5 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity, along with wafer and ingot production facilities, and intends to enter the battery energy storage system (BESS) segment.

The company stated that these investments are aimed at strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities, enhancing supply chain resilience, and supporting India's clean energy and self-reliance goals.
