German Ratiodata Acquires Microsoft Partner Icomcept

en.Wedoany.com Reported - German system integrator Ratiodata SE has made Icomcept GmbH a subsidiary, adding a new location in Aachen to the group, its twelfth branch in Germany.

Icomcept GmbH was founded in Aachen in 1997 by Thomas Voß and Sven Schönfelder, where its headquarters remain to this day. The two founders will stay in their current roles and continue as managing directors, jointly leading the subsidiary with Michael Heier, head of the strategic business unit for system integration at Ratiodata.

Icomcept obtained Microsoft "Certified Partner" status as early as 1999 and was upgraded to Microsoft Gold Partner in 2006. The company has been active in the cybersecurity sector since 1998 and also provides custom software development services to its clients. Its business also includes consulting on IT architecture selection, with the Microsoft platform as the established direction for cloud platforms, while also handling day-to-day operations of customer software and cloud solutions. Icomcept currently employs a low double-digit number of staff.

Ratiodata stated that the acquisition aims to strengthen its technical capabilities, leveraging Icomcept's expertise and solution portfolio to offer clients a broader range of IT services, while also winning new customers and expanding business with existing ones.

Michael Stanka, member of the Ratiodata Board of Management, said: "With the acquisition of Icomcept, we have gained an established IT service provider whose technical capabilities, market understanding, and corporate culture perfectly align with our long-term growth strategy." He added: "Together, we want to create even more value for our customers and drive the sustainable development of the group." Ratiodata executive Michael Heier commented: "Icomcept possesses deep technical expertise and has earned an outstanding reputation in Microsoft solutions and cybersecurity."

With the inclusion of Icomcept employees, the Ratiodata group now has around 1,500 staff.
