en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 3, Nocil, an Indian rubber chemicals giant, announced plans to invest INR 1.3 billion (equivalent to RMB 92.31 million) to expand rubber chemicals production capacity at its Dahej facility, in response to rising domestic market demand.

The renovation and expansion project will establish an integrated upstream-downstream production unit to expand capacity for high-utilization rubber additives. The new project is expected to be completed by the end of September 2027, with funding primarily sourced from the company's internal operational accumulation.

This new investment is independent of the company's previous expansion plan at the Dahej facility, which has now entered the trial production phase and totals INR 2.5 billion (approximately RMB 180 million).

According to the financial report for April-June of fiscal year 2026-2027, the company's operating revenue increased by 20% year-on-year to INR 4 billion. Benefiting from improved operational efficiency and inventory gains, the EBITDA margin rose by 210 basis points to 11.2%.

Driven by rising raw material prices and recovering market demand, the Indian company's net profit surged 61% in the quarter to INR 280 million (approximately RMB 20 million).

Product sales volume increased by 9% year-on-year; following the implementation of India's new Goods and Services Tax (GST 2.0), domestic market sales achieved double-digit rapid growth, while overseas export orders also steadily materialized, jointly driving sales higher.

Managing Director VS Anand stated that the quarter's outstanding operational results were attributed to the stable execution of various operational plans in both domestic business and overseas export segments.

He added that this additional investment in capacity expansion at the Dahej facility represents Nocil's commitment to orderly capacity expansion, improving the upstream-downstream industrial chain layout, and cultivating long-term industry competitiveness; India is currently gradually becoming an increasingly attractive manufacturing base.
