en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 2,000 kW ecological unit at the headworks of Chuosijia Hydropower Station, whose installation and construction were undertaken by the Electromechanical Installation Branch of China Gezhouba Group No.1 Engineering Co., Ltd., has recently completed the handover of electromechanical equipment, and the unit has entered normal operation for power generation.

Chuosijia Hydropower Station is located at the junction of Rangtang and Jinchuan counties in Aba Prefecture, Sichuan. This ecological unit is a vertical-shaft fixed-blade propeller-type unit, tasked with discharging ecological flow for the river channel. While ensuring ecological water use in the downstream river and safeguarding the aquatic ecological environment of the watershed, it also facilitates clean energy development, achieving the dual goals of ecological protection and power generation benefits.

The project is situated in a highland mountainous area with complex construction conditions. During the construction period, the project team addressed challenges such as the cold and highly variable climate, the confined working space at the headworks, and significant interference from multi-disciplinary cross-construction, advancing the full-process work of unit installation, commissioning, and testing in accordance with technical control standards. After multiple tests including no-load and load tests, core operational indicators such as unit runout, vibration, and temperature met design and industry specifications, successfully passing the joint acceptance by the owner, supervisor, and operation and maintenance parties, and completing the handover of the full set of electromechanical equipment.

Following the handover and commissioning of the ecological unit, it will ensure the stability of ecological flow in the downstream section of the Chuosijia River, safeguard the ecological barrier of the watershed, and deliver green, clean electricity to the local power grid. The project team will subsequently carry out remaining defect rectification and technical support services on site, summarize the installation and construction experience of highland ecological units, and provide practical references for the construction of similar projects.
