en.Wedoany.com Reported - Rohde & Schwarz has won a contract to supply QPS201 AIT security scanners to passenger screening checkpoints at five airports operated by Airports of Thailand (AOT), including Suvarnabhumi airport, a large single-terminal building serving both domestic and international passengers.

The QPS201 combines efficient detection capabilities with an intuitive operational process, ensuring ease of use for both passengers and security personnel. The system employs millimeter-wave technology and AI-based algorithms to identify prohibited items while maintaining a low false alarm rate, in compliance with regulatory requirements. Once a passenger enters the scanner and keeps their hands down for a brief moment, potential threats are displayed on a standardized digital avatar without revealing personal body features. Each scan takes only milliseconds, and the open design of the unit, along with the simple scanning posture, enhances the convenience of the security screening process.
The QPS201 has been certified by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for use at passenger screening checkpoints in the United States and has passed the highest standards of certification from both the TSA and the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC). To date, more than 2,000 units of this equipment have been deployed at airports worldwide. Airports of Thailand has recognized the detection performance and accuracy of the QPS201, acknowledging that it strengthens security while delivering faster screening speeds and an improved passenger experience.
