The work program covers seven rigs: Idun, Gunnlod, Prospector 1, Gerd, Galar, Gersemi, and Mist. Among them, the Idun rig has secured two consecutive offshore drilling assignments in Vietnam: the first is a single-well contract awarded by an undisclosed operator, which commenced in July and is expected to last 60 days; this will be followed directly by another single-well operation awarded by HLHV JOC, expected to last 30 days, extending the contract period through October.
The Gunnlod rig has secured a firm six-well contract with PVEP-NCS in Vietnam, scheduled to run from August 2026 to April 2027, with an expected duration of eight months. The contract also includes two single-well options, representing a combined potential workload of approximately 110 days, though these options have not yet been included in the firm commitment period.
In Europe, ONE-Dyas has extended the contract for the Prospector 1 rig in the Netherlands by approximately seven months, with the new work involving two wells, extending the rig's firm commitment period through April 2027. The contract also includes three single-well options, representing a combined potential operating time of approximately 210 days.
In West Africa, Foxtrot International has added one well operation for the Gerd rig, expected to last 45 days. The rig is currently operating in Côte d'Ivoire, and the extension will lengthen the contract coverage period through March 2027.
Pemex has extended the contracts for both the Galar and Gersemi rigs by two years. Both rigs had firm commitment periods through May 2028, and following the extensions, both will continue operations through May 2030, representing the two longest-duration arrangements in this new contract backlog.
The Mist rig has received a binding letter of award from Sarawak Shell in Malaysia, with offshore operations planned to commence in October 2026 for approximately 45 days, expected to continue through November. Borr Drilling has listed it as a letter of award project in its fleet status report and noted that the letter of award may still fail to ultimately convert into a formal drilling contract.
As of this disclosure, Borr Drilling has secured 21 contract commitments since the beginning of 2026, totaling approximately 4,350 operating days, corresponding to approximately $541 million in dayrate-equivalent contract backlog. The company currently owns 29 wholly-owned jack-up rigs, of which 24 have secured contracts or formed work commitments; as of the report date, its total dayrate-equivalent contract backlog stands at approximately $1.13 billion.
