Tesla officially announces Cybercab unveiling event on September 3, with first public test rides expected

en.Wedoany.com Reported - August 22 news - Tesla's official account posted on X platform today (August 22), announcing that it will hold an unveiling event on September 3, 2026 in Austin, USA, featuring the autonomous taxi Cybercab.

At the "WE, ROBOT" event held in October 2024, Tesla officially unveiled the autonomous taxi CyberCab, designed specifically for fully autonomous (driverless) scenarios.

Reports indicate that over the past few months, Tesla has been testing the Cybercab on public roads, and last month (July 2026) had employees ride the Cybercab on private roads near the Austin headquarters.

Sources also revealed that Tesla has recently completed training for emergency responders across Austin, focusing on Cybercab-related accidents and emergency response procedures.

Tesla is expected to announce at this event that the Cybercab will join its Robotaxi autonomous ride-hailing service (currently primarily using the Model Y).
