India DN Solutions Commissions INR 6 Billion Machine Tool Plant
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 26, Korean machine tool manufacturer DN Solutions inaugurated its first manufacturing facility in India, located in Bengaluru. The first-phase investment totals INR 6 billion, with the plant situated in the ITIR industrial zone in Bengaluru, covering 25 acres, and developed jointly by DN Solutions and the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board. This marks the company's first new overseas manufacturing base since its Yantai, China plant was established in 2003.
The new plant integrates production, R&D, technical support, and after-sales services. Initial production includes the SVM series vertical machining centers and the LYNX and LEO series horizontal turning centers, with plans to add five-axis machine tools in the future. The facility also houses a technology center, maintenance workshop, parts warehouse, and training facilities, with the technology center capable of conducting trial cutting and machining solution validation.
DN Solutions has already achieved local supply of large part machining, critical machined components, and shaft-type parts in India, with a localization rate of approximately 80% based on part count. The company plans to further expand its local procurement scope in India over the next five years and will launch a supplier development program in 2027. Spindle assemblies are temporarily excluded from the localization scope. The direct employment scale in India is planned to expand to 500 people.
The project broke ground in August 2025 in the ITIR industrial zone near Bengaluru International Airport, with plans at the time to complete plant construction and commence mass production in the first half of 2026. DN Solutions is also evaluating additional investment in subsequent phases, with the new investment scale potentially similar to the first phase; the specific implementation scale will be determined based on market demand and business progress.
