Olin and Huntsman Shareholders Approve Merger of Equals

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, shareholders of Olin Corporation (Olin) and Huntsman Corporation (Huntsman) voted separately to approve the previously announced all-stock merger of equals. At Olin's shareholder meeting, approximately 97% of votes cast supported the transaction, representing 81% of its total outstanding shares; at Huntsman's shareholder meeting, approximately 99% of votes cast were in favor, representing 75% of its total outstanding shares.

Under the terms of the transaction, the parties will proceed with the direct merger upon satisfaction of the remaining closing conditions. Final voting results remain subject to certification by an independent election inspector, and both companies will file respective current reports with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The merger remains subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2027. Upon completion of the transaction, the parties will form the Olin-Huntsman Group, integrating existing chemical operations, product portfolios, and upstream and downstream assets.
