en.Wedoany.com Reported - Juniper Nirjara Energy, a subsidiary of Juniper Green Energy Ltd, has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN Ltd for a 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project.

Juniper secured the project capacity in SJVN's FDRE-II auction through a tariff-based competitive bidding process and received the Letter of Award (LOA) on February 3, 2025. Under the PPA, Juniper will supply power at a tariff of INR 4.25/kWh for 25 years, while ensuring 4 hours of peak supply per day with 90% availability and meeting minimum annual Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) requirements.

The project will combine multiple renewable energy technologies, including solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), to meet the supply obligations stipulated in the PPA. With the addition of this project, Juniper Green Energy's renewable energy portfolio now stands at 11,216 MWp, complemented by 8,989 MWh of BESS capacity.

Ankush Malik, Whole-time Director and CEO of Juniper Green Energy, stated that as India's power system evolves, the ability to supply renewable energy during peak demand hours will become increasingly important. He added that the company's integrated capabilities in solar generation and battery storage enable solutions that combine the benefits of renewable energy with enhanced reliability and dispatchability.

Juniper Green Energy is an independent renewable energy power producer in India, focused on the development, construction, and operation of utility-scale solar, wind, hybrid, and FDRE projects. Its cumulative portfolio stands at 11 GWp and 9 GWh of BESS, including 2.57 GWp of operational capacity and 500 MWh of BESS.
