Dadachanji Group Invests €45 Million to Build Pharmaceutical Glass Packaging Manufacturing Base in India
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 4, Dadachanji Group officially launched KAISHA Pharma, a pharmaceutical glass packaging company, and confirmed an initial investment of €45 million for building manufacturing infrastructure, production capacity, and related operational systems. The new company will produce ampoules, vials, pre-filled syringes, and cartridges for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in India and overseas, while simultaneously developing ready-to-use (RTU) vials, pre-filled syringes, and cartridge products.

KAISHA Pharma is building a manufacturing complex covering more than 300,000 square feet, approximately 27,900 square meters. The facility will be equipped with integrated pharmaceutical glass packaging production lines, high-speed camera inspection systems, and analytical and testing laboratories, covering production processes including forming, inspection, and quality control. The company has not yet disclosed the specific location of the facility, individual line capacity, equipment quantity, or overall annual production capacity.
Beyond conventional tubular pharmaceutical glass packaging, the product range also includes specialized drug containers for biologics, advanced therapies, and sensitive pharmaceutical formulations. Dadachanji Group's existing operations also cover pharmaceutical production, primary and secondary packaging, packaging equipment, automation, robotics, and aseptic processing equipment. The new project will leverage the Group's in-house capabilities in machinery, automation, and post-filling processing.
Dadachanji Group previously founded Kaisha Manufacturers, which later developed into Schott Kaisha, primarily producing tubular pharmaceutical glass containers; the Group's original shareholders exited Schott Kaisha in 2021. With the establishment of KAISHA Pharma, the Group has re-entered the tubular pharmaceutical glass packaging manufacturing business. Currently, Kaisha Packaging, also under the Group, continues to produce aluminum closures for injection vials and pharmaceutical plastic components.
KAISHA Pharma also plans to establish an international business development office in Europe to handle overseas customer development and technical collaboration. The €45 million represents the initial phase of investment, and Dadachanji Group has confirmed that it will continue to invest in manufacturing infrastructure and production capacity in the future, though the second-phase amount, expansion timeline, commissioning date, and specific output targets have not yet been announced.
