en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 10, Australian mining services provider MLG Oz announced the renewal of its mining services contract with Ora Banda Mining for the Davyhurst gold mine project. The new contract took effect on September 1, with an initial term of three years, and Ora Banda holds an option to extend for an additional year. Based on the current contract scope, MLG expects to generate approximately AUD 16 million in annual revenue, corresponding to approximately AUD 48 million over the initial three-year contract period.

A1 Lithium plans to invest more than USD 569 million to build a lithium carbonate production facility. The project is expected to add 138 permanent jobs, generate approximately USD 494 million in cumulative wages over 20 years, and produce approximately USD 425 million in new state tax revenue for Utah. The tax incentives approved by the state government this time are contingent upon the project actually meeting its investment, employment, and tax targets.

This state-level incentive is the second set of incentives added after the Green River project received UIPA support. UIPA previously approved returning 50% of the new property tax revenue generated by the project to A1 Lithium after production begins, for a maximum period of 25 years and with a cumulative cap of approximately USD 194 million. The two policies correspond respectively to state-level taxes and incremental property taxes in the project area, and are not the same subsidy.

The Green River project is being developed by A1 Lithium, a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Anson Resources. It is planned to use direct lithium extraction technology, with a Phase 1 target of 10,000 tonnes per year of battery-grade lithium carbonate. The project has obtained a USD 330 million financing letter of intent from the Export-Import Bank of the United States and has signed a binding offtake arrangement with LG Energy Solution covering 40% of expected production.
