LONGi Signs 50MWh Energy Storage System Agreement in Romania with Enexus

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 16, LONGi signed an agreement with Enexus, a Romanian renewable energy development and EPC company, to supply a total of 50MWh of liquid-cooled battery energy storage systems for two solar-plus-storage projects in Titu, Dâmbovița County, Romania. This marks Enexus's first deployment of LONGi energy storage systems, and the two parties' cooperation has further expanded from previous PV module supply to integrated solar-plus-storage projects. Since 2025, Enexus projects have cumulatively deployed more than 200MW of LONGi PV modules.

This 50MWh energy storage order corresponds to two independent projects. Among them, the Titu 1 PV project has an installed capacity of 20MWp, paired with a 15MW energy storage system, and is jointly developed by Enexus and Akış Enerji, a subsidiary of Ulusoy Enerji Yatırımları. The main plant is now complete and awaiting grid connection; the Titu 3 project has a PV installed capacity of 35MW, paired with a 35MW energy storage system, and is being developed by Enexus for FTZ Group. It is still in the development stage.

The two projects will deploy 10 sets of LONGi liquid-cooled utility-scale energy storage systems, along with integrated medium-voltage skid-mounted systems. The energy storage systems are planned to be used for operational scenarios such as energy time shifting, capacity stabilization, and grid support. LONGi disclosed that its liquid-cooled solution adopts a cell temperature balancing control design and pre-integrates the medium-voltage system at the factory to reduce on-site system integration work and commissioning steps.

This cooperation builds on the two parties' previous large-scale PV module procurement. In 2025, LONGi and Enexus signed a 300MW Hi-MO 7 module supply cooperation, planning to supply approximately 488,000 modules for multiple ground-mounted PV projects of Enexus in southern and northwestern Romania. This 50MWh energy storage system order extends the cooperation between the two parties to utility-scale BESS for the first time.

In these two projects, Titu 1 has completed the PV-side construction, and the next substantive milestone is grid connection and energy storage system integration; Titu 3 is still in the development stage and will subsequently require project development, equipment deployment, and grid connection construction. LONGi's announcement did not disclose the amount of the 50MWh energy storage order, the specific delivery time, or the rated power parameters of a single energy storage system.
