en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 15, Diamond Power Infrastructure disclosed that the company has received a Letter of Award issued by Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited on September 3 to supply additional medium-voltage and low-voltage underground power cables for Mumbai's distribution network. The award amount is 179.43 crore rupees, approximately 1.794 billion rupees, including Goods and Services Tax (GST); the total supply length is approximately 871 kilometers, including 33 kV and 11 kV medium-voltage cables as well as supporting 1.1 kV low-voltage cables. The formal purchase order will be issued subsequently by the purchaser based on this Letter of Award.

The cables supplied this time will be used in Mumbai's underground distribution network. The medium-voltage cables adopt a tree-retardant cross-linked polyethylene (TR-XLPE) insulation structure and are equipped with water-blocking conductors, water-swellable tapes for longitudinal water blocking, and high-density polyethylene outer sheaths for radial moisture protection, so as to adapt to the operating conditions of underground lines in Mumbai's coastal and monsoon rainfall environment.

The relevant cables will be produced at Diamond Power's integrated manufacturing base in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. The production processes include catenary continuous vulcanization (CCV), triple-layer co-extrusion, dry cross-linking, clean-environment material handling, and controlled degassing, among other stages. The company disclosed that delivery will commence after obtaining manufacturing clearance, with an initial plan to supply at a rate of approximately 50 kilometers per month, and the delivery pace can be adjusted according to project requirements.
