LiuGong Peru Exhibits 423kW Electric Loader at Expomina 2026

During the exhibition, LiuGong featured its flagship wheel loader, the 856HE, as the main exhibit at its award-winning booth. The machine is 100% electric, equipped with 423 kW of power, and can achieve 10 hours of continuous operation on a 55-minute fast charge, offering the mining industry a zero-emission, high-productivity equipment solution.

Building on its established presence in the Peruvian market, LiuGong is advancing its commercial offerings for the construction and mining sectors through a product portfolio spanning two technology lines: diesel machinery and 100% electric solutions.

Miguel Bazán, Key Account Manager at LiuGong Perú, stated that the company's diesel products include graders, wheel loaders, excavators, and backhoe loaders, while its electrified product line drives the transition toward sustainable operations through mining trucks, excavators, loaders, forklifts, and zero-emission skid steer loaders.

Carlos Simbala, Commercial and Operations Manager at LiuGong Perú, highlighted the brand's positioning in the development of clean technologies for heavy machinery. He stated that LiuGong is one of China's largest companies and ranks fourth in the construction machinery sector, and that at Expomina 2026 it is offering solutions for the mining market as well as new technologies such as electric equipment; LiuGong has the broadest electric product portfolio, is a global pioneer and number one in this technology, and provides a complete supply chain for it, which, in addition to environmental benefits, can reduce operating costs by up to 70% compared with diesel equipment.

Simbala explained that this cost reduction stems from the elimination of combustion components, greatly simplified maintenance since no filters or engine oil are required, and the fact that the equipment runs entirely on an electric motor. He also mentioned the rate gap between fuel and electricity in the local market: in Peru, a gallon of fuel costs approximately 5 dollars, while electricity costs approximately 0.20 dollar cents per kilowatt-hour. He added that as a pioneer and researcher of electric equipment, LiuGong provides safety assurance for the development of the mining industry and its gradual transition to electrification.

In terms of operational footprint, LiuGong has offices and facilities in Cajamarca, Cusco, Juliaca, Huaraz, Piura, and Trujillo. As part of its commercial expansion plan in Peru, LiuGong is also considering opening new locations in Arequipa and the southern region to strengthen its coverage in the country's main production and mining corridors.
