Serval Completes Geophysical Surveys at Somelo Copper-Silver Project in Botswana

Audio-frequency magnetotelluric (AMT), high-resolution drone magnetic, and oriented induced polarization (IP) surveys have been completed at the Somelo prospect, while high-resolution drone magnetic surveying is underway at the Sweet Thorn Pan prospect. Both prospects are located along the strike extension of MMG's operating Khoemacau copper-silver mine.

This round of exploration work targeted the contact zone between the Ngwako Pan Formation and the D'Kar Formation, primarily to identify subsurface lithological boundaries, structural trends, and the thickness of Kalahari sand cover, and to delineate anomalous zones potentially related to sediment-hosted copper-silver mineralization. Sweet Thorn Pan has historical drill holes, and data from this survey round will be used together with existing drilling data for subsequent target selection.

Serval plans to complete this round of geophysical surveys and related field work by the end of September. Data processing has commenced, and integrated interpretation of AMT, IP, and drone magnetic data is scheduled for completion in October, with follow-up exploration targets expected to be defined by the end of October. Follow-up work includes further exploration and drilling, with timing dependent on subsequent funding availability.

Serval currently holds 17 exploration licenses in Botswana, 16 of which are located in the Kalahari Copper Belt, with a total land package of approximately 990.93 square kilometers. The company's 2026 exploration program includes various geophysical surveys and soil sampling to define follow-up drilling targets.

On September 4, Serval completed the renewal of relevant exploration licenses in Botswana, including PL 2474/2023, part of the Sweet Thorn Pan component; the company also relinquished the lower-priority PL 2472/2023, adjusting its Kalahari Copper Belt land package from approximately 1,283 square kilometers to approximately 990 square kilometers.
