The project is located on the Kattwyk Peninsula in the Port of Hamburg and is being advanced through long-term cooperation between BLG Logistics and the Hamburg Port Authority. The construction content includes adjustment of the terminal layout, integration of existing facilities, and the construction of a new multifunctional automobile logistics operation hall.
The new multifunctional hall has a building area of approximately 10,300 square meters and is scheduled for completion in September 2027. Inside the hall, a central logistics operation area of approximately 4,500 square meters will be set up, where repair bays and vehicle lifting equipment can be arranged according to different customer needs. At the same time, the existing repair, car washing, painting, and vehicle preparation functions will be concentrated in the same building.
The project will also include a mezzanine of approximately 1,900 square meters inside the hall for offices and employee supporting facilities. A photovoltaic system with a peak capacity of approximately 749 kilowatts is planned for the building roof, with the generated electricity mainly consumed on-site at the terminal; another approximately 1,900 square meters of roof will be greened, and infrastructure for charging electric trucks will be reserved.
