DPM Metals Expands Brevene South Gold-Copper Porphyry Discovery in Bulgaria

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 20, DPM Metals announced the latest infill drilling results from the Brevene Porphyry South gold-copper porphyry target in Bulgaria, with multiple drill holes continuing to intersect long intervals of gold-copper-molybdenum mineralization. Among them, EX_BRES_555_02A ultimately extended the previously disclosed mineralized interval to 716.6 meters at an average gold equivalent grade of 3.30 g/t, corresponding to 1.63 g/t gold, 1.58% copper, and 17.09 g/t molybdenum; within this, a 138.6-meter high-grade interval returned a gold equivalent grade of 5.71 g/t, including 2.83 g/t gold and 2.72% copper. The target is located in the southeastern part of the Brevene exploration license and is adjacent to DPM's existing Chelopech mine mining concession.

Another hole, EX_BRESPO_03, previously disclosed but still being drilled, added 341 meters of drilling and assay results, expanding the complete mineralized interval to 1,054 meters at an average gold equivalent grade of 2.49 g/t, corresponding to 1.20 g/t gold, 1.20% copper, and 43.46 g/t molybdenum, including a 465-meter interval at a gold equivalent grade of 3.02 g/t. The new hole EX_BRESPO_03A returned a 707-meter mineralized interval at a gold equivalent grade of 1.08 g/t; EX_BRESPO_05, still being drilled, had intersected 328 meters at a gold equivalent grade of 3.28 g/t as of the announcement date, and EX_BRESPO_06 returned 540 meters at a gold equivalent grade of 1.31 g/t. All reported lengths are downhole drill lengths, and true mineralized thicknesses have not yet been determined.

The latest drilling has defined the potassic alteration envelope at Brevene Porphyry South to over 500 meters by 500 meters, with vertical extension exceeding 1,000 meters, and mineralization also extends northward into the central to northwestern boundary of the Chelopech mine concession. The system remains open to the north, south, west, and at depth. The company is using ground magnetic surveys and an updated 3D magnetic field model to guide drilling, with high magnetic anomalies spatially corresponding to the high-grade gold-copper potassic core identified to date.

DPM currently has 7 surface drill rigs and 2 underground drill rigs deployed at Brevene Porphyry South. The Brevene exploration license expires at the end of September, at which point the company plans to shift drilling focus to the existing Chelopech mining concession and add up to 15,000 meters of drilling by the end of 2026, focusing on testing the northern, western, and deep extensions of the porphyry system, with infill drilling continuing in 2027 to provide data for an internal mineral resource estimate and subsequent technical evaluation. Meanwhile, the company is advancing the permitting process to convert the Brevene exploration license into a mining concession.

Preliminary metallurgical testwork has entered testing of three representative composite samples. DPM disclosed that copper-gold concentrate produced from open-circuit rougher-cleaner flotation tests grades approximately 10%–25% copper and approximately 12–20 g/t gold; the company is still continuing related metallurgical testing at the SLR Consulting laboratory in the United Kingdom. These results are at the preliminary beneficiation test stage, and Brevene Porphyry South has not yet established an independent mineral resource or entered the mine construction stage.
