PAL Cargo Partners with Teleport to Expand E-commerce Air Logistics Network
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 22, PAL Cargo and Teleport Network signed a cooperation agreement. The two parties will integrate their respective air cargo networks in the Philippines. In the first phase, two domestic e-commerce cargo routes will be added, Manila to Davao and Manila to Puerto Princesa. Subsequently, they also plan to combine Philippine Airlines' international routes with Teleport's Asia-Pacific network to expand international shared routes.

This cooperation will be jointly undertaken by Philippine Airlines' existing domestic air network and Teleport's e-commerce logistics system. Teleport stated that its network uses a hybrid capacity model composed of passenger aircraft belly hold space, dedicated freighters, and more than 40 airline partners. It currently serves about 80% of the Southeast Asian market and extends to the broader Asia-Pacific region. In this cooperation, the two parties will first bring Philippine domestic second-tier cities into the e-commerce air cargo network, with Davao and Puerto Princesa becoming the first nodes.
Philippine Airlines' existing flight network already covers the Manila-Davao and Manila-Puerto Princesa routes. This cooperation does not add new passenger routes; rather, it connects PAL Cargo's existing air capacity to Teleport's e-commerce logistics network to expand the air transport capacity and node coverage for e-commerce goods within the Philippines. Philippine Airlines' public flight information shows that Manila to Davao and Manila to Puerto Princesa currently both have continuously operating flights, which can provide an existing belly hold capacity foundation for the cargo cooperation.
Both Teleport and Philippine Airlines regard this domestic cooperation as the starting point for subsequent international intermodal transport. According to the public arrangements of both parties, the next phase will study connecting Philippine Airlines' international routes with Teleport's Asia-Pacific e-commerce logistics network. The specific international destinations, launch time, and capacity allocation have not yet been announced.
