en.Wedoany.com Reported - (SECI) has issued the second batch of green ammonia production and supply tender under SIGHT Scheme Mode-2A, seeking to select green ammonia producers through cost-competitive bidding, with an annual procurement volume of 54,000 tonnes. The tender number is SECI/C&P/MI/00/06/2026-27, implemented through online bidding and electronic reverse auction.

Request for Selection (RfS) for Production and Supply of 54,000 MTPA Green Ammonia under SIGHT Scheme (Mode-2A-Tranche-II) — EQ

This round of tender is for green ammonia production and supply within India, and the green ammonia produced will be supplied to designated fertilizer plants to replace ammonia feedstock produced or procured through conventional fossil fuel pathways. SECI has simultaneously arranged site visits for potential bidders to the purchaser's fertilizer plants on October 5. Participating enterprises must complete registration by 18:00 on October 1, and each organization may arrange a maximum of two representatives to attend.

The tender schedule has been finalized: the pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 8, the online bid submission deadline is 18:00 on October 27, the offline document submission deadline is 18:00 on October 29, and bid opening is at 10:00 on October 30. The tender document fee is INR 29,500, and the bid processing fee is INR 1.77 million. The performance security and bid security shall be in accordance with the formal RfS document.

This project is the second batch under the green ammonia procurement mechanism of the SIGHT Scheme under India's National Green Hydrogen Mission. Mode-2A adopts a demand aggregation and long-term procurement model, with SECI centrally organizing competitive tenders, and green ammonia producers supplying designated fertilizer enterprises at the awarded price. This round's 54,000 tonnes/year scale will continue to expand green ammonia substitution in the fertilizer sector on the basis of the first batch of green ammonia procurement.

India has previously completed green ammonia procurement allocation for multiple fertilizer enterprises through the first batch of Mode-2A, establishing a long-term fixed-price supply system. This second batch continues to adopt the cost-competition mechanism and incorporates the site conditions of purchaser fertilizer plants into pre-bid preparation, providing a basis for subsequent producer quotation, logistics, and supply plan design.

At present, this round of project is still at the RfS tender stage, and the winning producer, awarded price, green ammonia production location, and final list of supplying enterprises have not yet been determined. Relevant information will be further determined during the bidding, electronic reverse auction, and subsequent award stages.
