Both the Gabonese Presidency and the Gabon News Agency confirmed that the project has officially entered the construction phase, with the construction site located in Port-Gentil, Ogooué-Maritime Province.

The construction task has been assigned to a Chinese company. Public information shows that the contractor introduced the main construction arrangements at the launch ceremony and committed to implementing the project in accordance with established technical and construction requirements. However, neither the Gabonese Presidency nor the Gabon News Agency has disclosed the specific name of the Chinese company in their publicly available materials, nor have they published the project contract amount, construction period, individual unit layouts, or total floor area.

The project is located in the LIP Matanda district, with a confirmed construction scale of 848 housing units. The Gabonese side has incorporated this housing project into the current urban construction project system of Port-Gentil, advancing it in parallel with local housing, infrastructure, and public facility construction. The Council of Ministers meeting held on September 18 had previously discussed funding arrangements related to housing and infrastructure in Ogooué-Maritime Province, and this construction launch has advanced the housing construction plan to the on-site implementation phase.

Port-Gentil is the capital of Ogooué-Maritime Province. Following the project launch, the local government has required that local labor be employed during the construction phase. The subsequent main milestones of the housing project will include full on-site construction, main structural construction, and housing delivery.
