India's Oswal Pumps Secures 46.7MW School Rooftop Solar Order Worth INR 2.975 Billion
en.Wedoany.com Reported - India's Oswal Pumps Limited has announced that it has received a Letter of Intent from Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation Limited (TGREDCO) to build grid-connected rooftop solar systems at 9,937 government schools across 33 districts in Telangana. The total installed capacity of the project is 46,705 kW, or approximately 46.7MW, covering three system specifications: 2kW, 5kW, and 10kW.
The project scope includes design, equipment supply, installation, and commissioning, and will utilize Mono PERC or TOPCon photovoltaic modules, along with conventional mounting structures and a remote monitoring system. The project also includes 5 years of comprehensive maintenance services, with construction scheduled to be completed within 180 days of receiving the formal work order.
The total order value disclosed by Oswal Pumps on the stock exchange is approximately INR 2.975 billion, inclusive of Goods and Services Tax; on a tax-exclusive basis, the project quotation is approximately INR 2.7319 billion. This order is the company's first large-scale rooftop solar project in Telangana and represents an important order as it continues to expand from its solar water pump business into distributed solar engineering.
The project covers nearly ten thousand government schools, with small installed capacity at individual sites but a large total number of sites, placing high demands on batch execution capabilities in equipment supply, site surveys, construction organization, remote monitoring, and post-installation maintenance. Oswal Pumps had previously secured a 20MW rooftop solar project in Bihar, and this 46.7MW order further expands its project pipeline in India's public building distributed solar market.
