China Huayan Welding Launches Automatic Welding Solution for AI Data Center Liquid Cooling Equipment

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 28, China Ruian Huayan Welding Automation Technology Co., Ltd. released an automatic welding solution for the manufacturing of liquid cooling equipment for AI data centers, mainly covering coolant distribution units (CDUs), liquid cooling manifolds, cooling pipelines, valves, pipe fittings, heat exchangers, and related fluid control components. The solution targets stainless steel, copper, copper alloy, and aluminum alloy components, and can be configured with automatic TIG, cold wire TIG, laser welding, and custom multi-axis automatic welding systems.

In the manufacturing of CDUs and liquid cooling manifolds, the equipment listed by Huayan includes automatic TIG welding machines for stainless steel pipelines, automatic welding equipment for multi-branch manifolds, automatic welding machines for valves and pipe fittings, automatic welding machines for pipelines and flanges, automatic welding machines for aluminum alloys, automatic welding machines for copper and copper alloys, and laser automatic welding workstations. The systems can be configured with multi-axis CNC motion, automatic wire feeding, welding torch positioning, trajectory control, and welding parameter management according to the workpiece structure.

The material range for liquid cooling equipment-related structural components includes 304L and 316L stainless steel, copper pipes, and aluminum alloy components. Huayan has extended its existing automatic welding platforms to the manufacturing of products such as CDUs, manifolds, heat exchangers, and cold plates, among which multi-branch pipelines, manifolds, and fluid control components are key adaptation targets of this solution. The company also lists BWG multi-axis CNC automatic welding machines and laser welding equipment as related automation platforms.

The BWG series adopts a modular multi-axis CNC structure. The same platform can be configured with processes such as TIG, MIG/MAG, plasma, laser, and submerged arc welding. The standard workpiece clamping diameter range is 10–400 mm, and the minimum weldable wall thickness is 0.2 mm. The series supports adjustment of the number of positioner axes, dimensions, and load according to the workpiece, and allows replacement of welding torches, wire feeding mechanisms, welding power sources, and chuck fixtures. Previously disclosed BWG configurations also include a 10-inch touchscreen, an XPLC multi-axis motion controller, and up to 12-axis linkage, and can store up to 100 sets of welding process parameters.

For larger pipelines and flanges, the standard clamping outer diameter of the Huayan WS horizontal circumferential seam welding machine can reach 520 mm. It supports TIG, MIG/MAG, plasma, and laser welding, and is compatible with materials such as stainless steel, aluminum alloy, copper, and copper alloy; the equipment can also be configured with a laser seam tracker and a molten pool camera system. The original application scope of this series includes pipelines, flanges, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers, which directly overlaps with the manufacturing scope of pipelines and heat exchange components in this liquid cooling system.

Huayan plans to exhibit its automatic welding solution for fluid machinery, valves, pipe fittings, and liquid cooling equipment manufacturing at the China (Shanghai) International Fluid Machinery Exhibition to be held from October 21 to 23. On-site equipment includes stainless steel pipeline TIG welding, valve welding, pipe fitting welding, manifold welding, aluminum alloy welding, and laser welding systems.
