Nordex Group Secures 228 MW European Wind Turbine Order
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 6, Nordex Group announced that at the end of September it secured onshore wind equipment orders for multiple projects in Southern, Central, and Eastern Europe, and will supply and install 35 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of approximately 228 MW. The related contracts also include long-term service for the turbines, with service terms of up to 25 years. Nordex Group did not disclose the customer names, specific project names, project host countries, or individual project installed capacities.

This batch of orders involves three onshore turbine platforms: N175/6.X, N163/6.X, and N149/4.X, covering 4 MW-class and 6 MW-class models. Nordex Group did not publish the order quantities for each of the three models, nor did it disclose the delivery, installation, and commissioning timelines for each project. Therefore, it can currently only be confirmed that the 35 turbines have entered the scope of the supply and installation contracts.
Some of these turbines will use a cold climate configuration and be equipped with the Nordex Advanced Anti-Icing system. According to the technical specifications published by Nordex Group, this system is designed to maintain operation when the turbines are in active icing environments and can reduce icing-related power generation losses by up to 80%.
