en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 8, China's Huafeng Group and Circ, a U.S. textile recycling technology company, announced a cooperation plan to build a phased waste textile recycling facility in China. Phase one is designed to process approximately 200 tons per day of polyester-cotton blended waste, using Circ's textile separation and recycling technology to produce recycled purified terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, and cellulose pulp.

The cooperation plan specifies that Huafeng Group will provide manufacturing infrastructure and undertake engineering, procurement, logistics, and commercialization support work directly related to project development. Huafeng Group also plans to co-invest with Circ and other selected investors in building the facility. The two parties have not yet disclosed specific equity ratios, capital structure, engineering contractors, or equipment procurement contracts.

The proposed plant will process blended textile waste containing polyester and cotton fibers. The recycling technology provided by Circ can separate the polyester and cellulose components in blended materials, recovering recycled purified terephthalic acid (PTA), recycled monoethylene glycol (MEG), and recycled cellulose pulp. The two types of recycled polyester feedstock can enter the recycled polyester manufacturing process, while the cellulose pulp is used to produce new textile fibers. All three planned output streams are intended for textile material remanufacturing applications.

Circ will provide the cooperative project with its developed technology system and commercial customer network, including apparel brands, textile manufacturers, and downstream material buyers. The two parties plan to conduct commercial engagement with brand companies, supply chain partners, and material buyers as the plant's capacity development progresses. You Feifeng, Vice President of Huafeng Group, participated in the announcement of this cooperation and confirmed that Huafeng will participate in the project with its industrial manufacturing capabilities and direct investment.
