en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 7, the engineering cooperation arrangement between Nexus Core Systems and FiveNines Group for a 20MW AI data center was disclosed. The project is located on the outskirts of Casablanca, Morocco, targeting high-density AI computing and planned to adopt the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 architecture. FiveNines Group is responsible for project design management, technical coordination, consultant coordination, construction feasibility review, and procurement strategy development. The project is currently in the preliminary design and engineering preparation stage.

FiveNines Group will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team to carry out project requirements analysis, feasibility studies, conceptual design, and technical solution coordination, and to prepare design documents for regulatory communication and permit applications. The current scope of work covers engineering design and construction preparation; it has not yet been confirmed that FiveNines Group will serve as the general contractor for data center construction.

The project's specialist team includes overall design consultant Zutari, MEP engineering consultant R&B MEP, and substation engineering partner Fonto Energy. Each team participates in architectural and engineering design, MEP system technical coordination, and power supply infrastructure solutions, respectively, and will subsequently advance engineering interfaces and design document preparation in accordance with project requirements.

The data center is planned to adopt the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 technology architecture as a high-density AI computing facility. The project has determined the technical direction of the computing platform, but has not yet announced the number of servers, rack density, liquid cooling system configuration, power supply voltage level, or backup power scale.

The facility belongs to the Nexus AI Factory Platform planned by Nexus Core Systems. The company's proposed long-term capacity target for the platform is 180MW, with plans to use renewable energy for power supply. This Casablanca project corresponds to a 20MW single facility; the platform's long-term target does not represent the construction scale of this facility.

In April 2026, Nexus Core Systems signed a memorandum of cooperation on the Nexus AI Factory Platform with relevant Moroccan government departments. The implementation arrangements announced by the Moroccan government at that time included a first-phase 16MW facility in Nouaceur and a subsequent 20MW expansion in the northern region, with an overall planned investment of approximately 12 billion Moroccan dirhams.
