UNICO of the United States Releases a 330 kW Bidirectional Grid-Tied Inverter
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 12, UNICO, a U.S. power conversion equipment manufacturer, released a 330 kW bidirectional grid-tied inverter (GTI) at The Battery Show 2026. The device has a maximum output power of 330 kW, a conversion efficiency of 98.5%, and a power density of 72 W per cubic inch. It supports AC voltages from 380 to 900 V and programmable DC voltages from 600 to 1,500 V, and can be used in energy storage systems, photovoltaic power generation, and data center power infrastructure.

The inverter adopts a rack-mounted structure and is designed and manufactured entirely in the United States. At an AC voltage of 900 V, a single unit has a maximum output power of 330 kW. The product supports bidirectional power conversion between DC and AC systems, and the DC-side voltage can be programmed within the range of 600 to 1,500 V according to the requirements of the associated power source and energy storage system.
UNICO reports a power density of 72 W per cubic inch for the device. According to the company's published data, its power density is more than three times that of selected comparable competitors. The product achieves a conversion efficiency of 98.5% and adopts a modular architecture, targeting different AC voltage levels and DC bus configurations.
The device supports parallel operation of 10 or more units, forming a power conversion system with an output power exceeding 3.3 MW. The company plans to apply the single-unit configuration to commercial and industrial energy storage projects and to support larger-scale energy storage facilities through multi-unit parallel configurations. Different capacity configurations use the same inverter architecture and control scheme.
UNICO has expanded the target application scope of this product to commercial and industrial energy storage, solar power generation systems, data center power facilities, and other high-power loads. The company is showcasing the device at The Battery Show 2026, held in Detroit, United States, from October 12 to 15.
