Trina Storage Signs New UK Bramley Energy Storage Project, Bringing Three Projects to Over 145MW in Total Scale
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, Trina Storage announced that its cooperation with Clarke Energy and Temporis Capital in the UK battery energy storage sector has expanded to three projects, with the latest agreement signed for the Bramley energy storage project, which plans to adopt the new-generation Elementa energy storage system and be connected to the grid in 2027. The tripartite cooperation projects also include the already operational Boat of Garten and the Fraserburgh project currently under development, with a combined scale of more than 145MW/290MWh, covering equipment supply, engineering delivery, and long-term operational services.

The Boat of Garten project was signed in 2024 and is located in Scotland, UK, equipped with a 50MW/100MWh battery energy storage system. The project adopts Trina Storage's Elementa series products, with Clarke Energy responsible for engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, and undertaking 16 years of operation and maintenance services in accordance with the contract. Related services include 24-hour system performance monitoring, preventive maintenance, and fault repair, while Trina Storage is responsible for energy storage equipment supply and corresponding performance guarantees. The power station has now completed grid connection.
The Fraserburgh project is another energy storage project subsequently undertaken by the three parties, planned to achieve power delivery in 2027. The newly signed Bramley project will adopt Trina Storage's latest-generation Elementa series products, with the same target of grid connection in 2027. All three projects belong to Temporis Capital's energy storage investment portfolio, corresponding respectively to the operational, under-construction, and newly signed stages.
This cooperation also includes long-term technical services after the energy storage stations are put into operation. Trina Storage and Clarke Energy have established a service arrangement around a revenue-linked long-term service agreement (LTSA), which includes a dynamic maintenance scheduling mechanism adapted to energy storage station dispatch and revenue contracts, allowing equipment maintenance timing to be adjusted according to station operation arrangements. The two parties will also adopt advanced metering technology to enable the same energy storage site to have the metering conditions to participate in multiple UK capacity market contracts.
In addition, Trina Storage and Rehlko, through Clarke Energy, signed a memorandum of understanding for UK market cooperation, intending to jointly carry out energy storage system delivery and long-term operational services. Under the cooperation arrangement, Trina Storage provides battery energy storage technology and full-lifecycle performance guarantees, while Clarke Energy is responsible for integrated energy system engineering delivery, equipment availability maintenance, and operational performance management.
