JD Industrial and AMD Sign Cooperation Agreement for Industrial AI Terminal Development

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 13, JD Industrial and AMD, a U.S. semiconductor company, signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the main forum of the 26th China International Industry Fair held in Shanghai. The two parties will promote the adaptation and collaborative optimization of the JD Industrial large model with the AMD Ryzen AI Max series processors, jointly develop AI terminal products for industrial sites such as factories and workshops, and carry out joint solution design, development, and technical validation for edge computing environments.

Under the agreement, the two parties will carry out joint solution definition, development, and validation for application scenarios including smart manufacturing, predictive equipment maintenance, industrial visual quality inspection, safety production patrol inspection, intelligent production scheduling, and supply chain collaboration, and will select industrial sites for demonstration applications. The cooperation covers industrial AI models, intelligent computing hardware, and industrial terminal software applications, with the technical development focused primarily on the deployment of industrial large models in terminal devices and edge computing environments.

In the technical division of labor, the two parties will respectively leverage their capabilities in industrial models and processor platforms. JD Industrial will provide the industrial large model and related industrial scenario application technologies, while AMD will provide the Ryzen AI Max series processor platform. Through model adaptation, collaborative optimization of computing resources, and terminal product development, the two parties will form a joint technical solution for production equipment and industrial computing terminals.

In addition to technical development, the two parties will also cooperate on global market promotion and sales channels for industrial applications, jointly engage industrial terminal customers, and advance application validation and market promotion of the relevant solutions.
