Sparkle Italia Launches Dedicated Sports Media Communication Lines for Three Major European Cities

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 13, Italian international communications operator Sparkle announced the expansion of its partnership with Swiss sports media service company Infront, having deployed and activated dedicated international communication lines between Milan, Frankfurt, and Paris to provide cross-border network connectivity for live sports event signal transmission and media content distribution in Europe. The newly added services use dedicated point-to-point circuits, and the relevant lines have been fully deployed and connected to Infront's existing communications infrastructure.

Under the agreement, Sparkle provides Infront with dedicated international network capacity services connecting three major communications hubs in Europe. The newly activated point-to-point circuits are used for cross-border transmission and distribution of live sports event content, and have been integrated with the customer's existing systems. The services are currently in live operation.

The two parties have previously collaborated on communications services. Infront uses Sparkle's Seabone IP Transit internet transmission service and DDoS Protection cybersecurity service to provide network connectivity and distributed denial-of-service attack protection for its streaming platforms. This agreement expands the scope of cooperation to dedicated international transmission capacity, with the new lines directly connected to Infront's media communications network.

In the business implementation, Sparkle is responsible for providing cross-border dedicated network connectivity, and Infront uses the relevant lines for the production, transmission, and distribution of sports media content. Infront is headquartered in Switzerland, and its business includes sports media rights management, broadcast production, digital content distribution, and media services for television broadcasters and digital platforms. The three cities covered by this deployment are located in Italy, Germany, and France respectively.
