Wedoany.com Report-Aug. 31, Premier Energies Ltd, one of India’s leading integrated solar manufacturers, has launched its latest 620 W DCR solar module powered by n-type TOPCon cell technology. The new product is designed to deliver higher efficiency and reliability for large-scale and rooftop solar applications.
The module comes in dimensions of 2,382 mm x 1,134 mm x 35 mm and incorporates 132 half-cut bifacial cells using the G12R rectangular wafer format (210×182.3 mm). It provides a bifaciality of up to 85%, enabling better energy capture. With a power conversion efficiency of 22.95%, the module is positioned to meet growing demand for high-performance solar solutions.
According to the company, the adoption of TOPCon architecture ensures strong results in power density, temperature coefficient, and low-light conditions. The G12R n-type cell format allows for higher string power and improved balance of system (BOS) optimization, making the module suitable for utility-scale projects as well as commercial and industrial rooftops.
The product offers an open-circuit voltage of 49.34 V and a short-circuit current of 15.63 A. The temperature coefficient is -0.29%/C, contributing to stable output under varied operating conditions. These technical features underline the module’s potential for reliable and efficient power generation.
In a statement, the company emphasized the importance of this innovation: “With the introduction of TOPCon architecture, the G12R 620 W module delivers exceptional power density, an improved temperature coefficient, and stronger low-light performance. The rectangular G12R n-type cell format unlocks higher string power and BOS optimization, making it ideal for utility-scale, commercial, and industrial rooftop projects.”
Chiranjeev Saluja, managing director and chief executive officer of Premier Energies, also highlighted the company’s role in advancing solar technology: “As one of the first few companies to bring 620 W DCR modules to market, we are offering a future-ready solution to help solar power investors and consumers in extracting more energy and value from every ray of the sun. These modules, compliant with India’s Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) regulations, go a long way in supporting the country’s solar power ambitions and Make in India policy.”
The launch of the 620 W DCR module reflects Premier Energies’ focus on developing high-capacity, efficient solar technologies tailored to the needs of India’s growing renewable energy sector. By integrating advanced design features and compliance with local regulatory requirements, the company is aiming to expand opportunities for solar deployment across multiple segments.
With India setting ambitious renewable energy goals, such products are expected to play a key role in scaling up solar capacity, reducing costs, and enhancing long-term performance. Premier Energies’ new module demonstrates how technological innovation can align with national strategies while addressing the requirements of investors, developers, and consumers in the solar market.
