Equitix Finds Funds for 326MW Spanish Sites

Wedoany.com Report-Nov 18, Equitix has been granted €271m of financing by Banco Santander for the refinancing, construction and development of a portfolio of wind projects hybridised with solar and battery schemes.

This is the first financing of a hybridisation that combines three technologies – wind, solar and battery storage – in Spain, said law firm Ashurst, which advised on the deal.

The aggregate capacity of the portfolio is more than 326MW and will allow substantial savings in CO2 emissions.

The Ashurst team was led by partners Irian Martínez and Andrés Alfonso, assisted by counsels Tannia Rodríguez and Aitor Errasti and associates Marta Timoner, Pedro Díaz and Javier Altemir.
