Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 23, Inox Wind Limited (IWL), a subsidiary of the InoxGFL Group, has signed an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding with KP Energy (KPE) to jointly develop 2.5 GW of wind and wind-solar hybrid power projects across multiple states in India.

Inox Wind and KPE will collaborate to jointly develop 2.5GW of wind and wind-solar hybrid power projects across India.

Under the agreement, Inox Wind will supply wind turbine generators and related equipment, provide comprehensive engineering services including unit substation design, transformer specifications, and foundation engineering, and handle pre-commissioning, commissioning, and long-term operations and maintenance of the turbines.

KP Energy will lead project development activities, securing land, grid connectivity, and necessary approvals, while executing the full balance-of-plant engineering, procurement, and construction scope as well as its subsequent operations and maintenance.

“KPE is committed to advancing large-scale renewable energy infrastructure, and this partnership with INOX marks a significant strategic step in that direction,” said Faruk G Patel, Founder and Managing Director of KP Energy. “By combining KPE’s depth of experience in project development, statutory planning and balance of-plant execution with IWL’s proven manufacturing and engineering capabilities, we are establishing a robust collaborative platform capable of delivering complex wind and hybrid assets at scale. This MoU reinforces our long-term objective of building reliable, integrated clean energy solutions and strengthens our ability to contribute effectively to India’s national renewable energy goals.”

InoxGFL Group CEO Renewables, Kailash Tarachandani, stated: “Inox Wind’s partnership with KP Energy is a collaboration of two renewable industry leaders, capitalising on the strong product, ground-level execution and project development excellence of the two companies. Through this association, we aim to deliver structured, high-quality renewable energy solutions that will reinforce our role in supporting India’s transition toward cleaner and more sustainable power generation.”

In a parallel development, Inox Green Energy Services subsidiary Inox Solar has entered into a separate exclusive MoU with KPI Green, a KP Group company, for the joint development of 2.5 GW of solar power projects nationwide. Under this arrangement, KPI Green will manage project development while Inox Solar supplies solar modules, executes commissioning, and provides operations and maintenance services for the modules.

The twin agreements create a combined 5 GW renewable energy development pipeline between the InoxGFL Group and KP Group entities, covering both wind and solar technologies across various Indian states.

Earlier this month, Inox Wind also secured new orders for 229 MW of wind power capacity, further expanding its domestic order book.

These partnerships combine complementary strengths in manufacturing, project execution, and development expertise, positioning the companies to accelerate large-scale deployment of clean energy infrastructure in support of India’s growing renewable energy requirements.
