Batelco Partners With Cisco to Modernize IP Backbone Infrastructure for AI-Driven Operations

Wedoany.com Report-Dec.28, Batelco by Beyon has signed an agreement with Cisco to modernise its IP Backbone infrastructure. The signing ceremony took place at the Beyon Campus in Hamala, Bahrain.

Rashid Mohammed, Batelco Chief Technology Officer, and Zayan Sadek, Cisco Managing Director for Service Providers in the Middle East and Africa, signed the agreement. The event was attended by Maitham Abdulla, Batelco CEO, along with senior executives from both companies.

Under the collaboration, Cisco will supply advanced networking technologies, including next-generation routing, automation capabilities, and intelligent assurance and monitoring tools. This upgrade will enhance Batelco's network performance, delivering faster and more resilient connectivity to customers across Mobile, Fixed, and Enterprise services throughout the Kingdom of Bahrain.
