Wedoany.com Report-Dec.27, In November 2025, France's steel production stood at 810,000 tons, a decrease of 13.6% compared to the previous month and a decline of 15.8% year-on-year. This places France in 19th position in the World Steel Association's global production ranking. From January to November this year, France's cumulative steel production reached 9.02 million tons, a reduction of 9.8% compared to the same period last year, with the average monthly production also dropping to 820,200 tons.
From a broader regional perspective, the steel production for the entire European Union in November 2025 fell by 3.5% year-on-year to 10.2 million tons. The cumulative production from January to November this year was 116.1 million tons, down 3.3% year-on-year. France currently has 11 major steel producers, including ArcelorMittal Dunkerque and Sastaal Asval, with a combined annual production capacity of approximately 12.09 million tons.
