Wedoany.com Report-Dec.30, Nine Mile Metals recently announced the latest exploration progress from its Wedge copper project located in New Brunswick, Canada.
The latest assay results show copper grades as high as 15%, lead at 1.76%, zinc at 2.17%, gold at 0.71 grams per tonne, silver at 48.10 grams per tonne, and a copper equivalent grade of 16.64%. These results are from samples collected in a small area near old mine workings, indicating significant massive sulfide copper mineralization.
Nine Mile Metals initiated a systematic drilling program late last year to further define the scale of the Wedge mineralization. Among these, the third drill hole, WD-25-02B, is located 60 meters northwest of the first hole and reached a depth of 122 meters. The company reported that this hole intersected significant copper-bearing sulfides associated with contact breccia at a depth of 56.4 meters, with mineralization continuing to the bottom of the hole, further extending the mineralization westward within the target area.
