India's National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) recently released operational data showing that the company's iron ore production reached 5.4 million tonnes in December 2025, an increase of approximately 14.64% compared to the same period last year. During the same period, the company's iron ore sales were 4.71 million tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 18.67%, indicating strong production and sales momentum for the month.
As a major state-owned mining enterprise in India, NMDC's cumulative iron ore production for the first three quarters of the 2025-26 fiscal year (calculated from April 2025), i.e., the period from April to December, was 36.89 million tonnes, representing a 19.88% increase compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year. The cumulative sales volume for this stage reached 34.92 million tonnes, a year-on-year growth of 9.8%. The strong performance in December made a significant contribution to the overall growth for the current fiscal year.
