Wedoany.com learned that the Axens Group, Syensqo, and the public research institution IFP New Energy (IFPEN) have jointly established a new company, Argylium, dedicated to developing solid-state battery electrolytes in Europe.

Argylium is expected to focus on advancing the industrialization process of a new generation of sulfide solid-state electrolyte materials, providing core materials for all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs).

Argylium will leverage Syensqo's technical experience in operating a solid-state battery pilot production line in La Rochelle, France, and utilize the technological achievements developed at its Paris laboratory.

Thomas Canova, Head of R&D and Innovation at Syensqo, stated that the establishment of Argylium represents "a crucial step in bringing solid-state battery materials to market."
