According to Wedoany.com News, Concord Control Systems Limited of India recently announced it has secured an order worth INR 4.7 billion from the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) to develop the world's most powerful hydrogen fuel locomotive propulsion system. This marks a significant breakthrough for India in the field of heavy-duty green rail technology.

Under the order, Concord, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Advanced Rail Controls Private Limited, will convert a diesel locomotive into a hydrogen fuel engine with a power output of up to 3100 horsepower. This power level far exceeds the current global benchmark of around 1600 horsepower for hydrogen fuel rail systems, positioning India at the forefront of this technological field.
