According to data released by Sensor Tower, South Korea has become the second largest revenue market globally for Google's AI service Gemini, generating approximately $21 million in revenue. South Korea accounts for over 11% of Gemini's global revenue, with its revenue scale second only to the United States.

The release of Gemini 3 marked a significant turning point, with its reasoning and multimodal capabilities seeing substantial improvement. This change drove a significant increase in the number of daily active users in South Korea, with recent growth exceeding 103%. Although ChatGPT still holds the top position in terms of daily active users, with Gemini following behind, the gap between the two has noticeably narrowed since the release of Gemini 3, with the daily active user gap shrinking from seven times to four times.
Simultaneously, new changes have emerged in market dynamics, with the proportion of users switching between ChatGPT and Gemini on the rise. Following Gemini's update, more users who originally used Gemini have started trying ChatGPT, reflecting the mutual influence between the two services in market competition and more diversified user choices.
