Wedoany.com Report on Feb 6th, January 2026 became the highest-streaming month in the history of its streaming service, reaching a total of 383 million streams, surpassing the record of 375 million set during the UEFA European Football Championship in June 2024.

This new streaming record was primarily driven by the strong performance of soap operas, reality shows, and series. ITV stated that its commercial video-on-demand service maintains a leading position in the market, surpassing the ad-supported tiers of other broadcasters and international streaming platforms in January 2026.
Soap opera programs showed significant growth, with streaming volumes increasing by 48% compared to the same period last year. Both "Coronation Street" and "Emmerdale" set new monthly streaming records, related to the launch of their "Corriedale" crossover series. This series adopted a prime-time evening scheduling model, airing a 30-minute version on weekdays and being simultaneously updated on the ITVX platform at 7 a.m. "Corriedale" became ITV's most popular program of the month, with a combined TV and streaming audience of 5.9 million.
"Coronation Street" and "Emmerdale" together achieved 65 million streams in January 2026, 10 million more than their previous highest monthly record.
Among the 16-34 age group, "Love Island All Stars" continued to dominate, garnering 40 million streams in January, making it the most-streamed program on commercial streaming platforms for this demographic. This series is also currently ITV's most-streamed individual program in 2026.
Series became the most prominent content category on the ITVX platform in January. The first and second seasons of "Red Eye" led with over 25 million streams, becoming the best-performing ITV-produced program; "Wife Hunt" ranked among the top monthly streams for acquired programs with nearly 7 million streams.
Series streaming in January reached its highest level since January 2024, driven by new productions such as "After the Flood" and "Grantchester," acquired content like "61st Street" and "Grosse Pointe Garden Society," and the continued popularity of classic series such as "Agatha Christie's Marple," "Vera," and "Downton Abbey."
Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of ITV Media and Entertainment, said: "Excellent series content, our core brands 'Coronation Street' and 'Emmerdale,' and 'Love Island,' which is beloved by young audiences, have collectively delivered a historic monthly performance for ITVX. With more new content to be launched in 2026, it is encouraging to start the new year with such results."
As of January 2026, the cumulative streaming volume on the ITVX platform has exceeded 10 billion streams since its launch in December 2022.
