Wedoany.com Report on Feb 7th, Latest data from Russia's Ministry of Industry and Trade shows that Russia's chemical exports to India saw a significant increase in 2025, with a year-on-year growth of 66.2%. This growth was primarily driven by the strong performance of mineral fertilizer exports, which accounted for as high as 90% of the total export volume.
The ministry explicitly stated in its report: "In 2025, the export supply of chemical industry products increased by 66.2% year-on-year. Mineral fertilizers form the foundation of Russia's export volume—they account for 90% of the total supply." In addition to mineral fertilizers, products such as rubber goods, organic chemicals, plastics, and inorganic chemicals also showed good demand in the Indian market.
Cooperation between Russia and India in the chemical industry continues to deepen, with increasingly frequent interactions in chemical trade. Data shows that the total bilateral chemical trade reached $3.2659 billion in 2025, a 35.6% increase compared to 2024.
As bilateral trade relations continue to develop, related industry exchange activities are also being actively promoted. It is reported that the ChemTECH World Expo will be held in India from February 3 to 6, 2026, providing a new platform for further cooperation between the two countries in the chemical sector. The sustained growth of Russia's chemical exports to India reflects the cooperative potential between the two nations in the industrial field.
