Wedoany.com Report on Feb 7th, The new facility "Technology Center" (located in Ritto City, Shiga Prefecture), jointly operated by the machine tool business companies under the Machinery Business Headquarters of the Nidec Group—Nidec Machine Tool, Nidec OKK, PAMA, and TAKISAWA (hereinafter referred to as the "four companies")—was officially opened on February 5.
This center is a comprehensive technical facility that brings together 30 various machine tools and related technologies from the four companies. In addition to showcasing cutting-edge equipment, it is positioned as a "co-creation technology hub," providing solutions to challenges faced by customers through activities such as machining verification using actual machines, support for production startup, process optimization, and personnel development.
Furthermore, within the Nidec Machine Tool Shiga Factory where this center is located, the company's machine tools will be extensively used in the reducer prototyping factory and the new high-precision, high-speed press factory scheduled to start operation in April. As a result, this Shiga Factory will become a powerful manufacturing and development hub within the Machinery Business Headquarters, where the three main businesses (machine tools, presses, and reducers) collaborate and fully leverage synergies among products.
In recent years, as industrial component technologies advance to higher levels and structures become more complex, and with changes in manufacturing labor environments and increasing attention to the natural environment, the challenges faced on the manufacturing floor have become increasingly diverse. We share these challenges with our customers and are strengthening our efforts to provide machining solutions. The establishment of this center is the first step in this initiative, and similar facilities will be opened overseas in the future.
The machine tool companies within the Nidec Group will fully leverage the technological capabilities and comprehensive strength of an integrated machine tool manufacturer to further deepen "partnerships with customers to solve challenges together."
