Wedoany.com Report on Feb 7th, MediaTek officially launched the Dimensity 9500s and Dimensity 8500 mobile chipsets at its MediaTek Technology Day event held in Delhi, India. These new processors are designed for next-generation smartphones, offering significant improvements in computational efficiency, power consumption control, artificial intelligence, image processing, gaming performance, and wireless communication. The launch event was attended by media journalists, industry analysts, and hardware partners. Both OPPO India and POCO India confirmed they will launch smartphone models featuring the new platforms.

Joe Hsieh, Corporate Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Wireless Communications Business Unit at MediaTek, stated: "The company continues to increase investment in advanced technologies, committed to bringing flagship-level experiences to a broader user base. The new Dimensity chipsets, which combine high performance with superior energy efficiency, are a concrete manifestation of this direction."

The Dimensity 9500s utilizes a 3nm process technology and features an all-big-core CPU architecture, including one Cortex-X925 prime core clocked at 3.73GHz, three Cortex-X4 performance cores, and four Cortex-A720 cores. The chip integrates an Immortalis-G925 GPU with support for ray tracing technology, enhancing the visual immersion of mobile games. Its dedicated NPU is optimized for generative AI and multimodal models, boosting camera capabilities and content creation features.

The Dimensity 9500s supports 8K full-focus Dolby Vision HDR video recording with real-time motion tracking. It also incorporates MediaTek's Adaptive Gaming Technology 3.0, a 5G Release-17 modem, and the AI Network Suite 2.0, aiming to improve connection stability and energy efficiency.

The Dimensity 8500 is built on a 4nm process, featuring eight Cortex-A725 cores with a maximum clock speed of 3.4GHz, and supports LPDDR5X memory. The chip is equipped with a Mali-G720 GPU, offering approximately 25% better graphics performance compared to the previous generation, while also expanding the application of ray tracing in mainstream games. Its 8th-generation NPU supports large language models and image generation models, and integrates an AI Ultra-Clear Telephoto algorithm to optimize zoom photography.

Anuj Sidharth, Marketing Director for MediaTek India and Southeast Asia, noted: "The new chipsets, through their all-big-core design, autonomous AI capabilities, and advanced imaging technologies, allow more consumers to enjoy the experience of flagship smartphones."
