Wedoany.com Report on Feb 9th, As the official airline partner for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, ITA Airways has recently designed a special Olympic-themed livery for an A320 Airbus aircraft. This livery aims to visually integrate the Olympic spirit into aviation services, serving as an aerial representative during the event.

The Airbus A320-200, registered as EI-DSY, has completed its livery update and returned to service, primarily operating the airline's short- and medium-haul route network. The livery pattern was created by Italian artist Emiliano Ponzi, positioning the aircraft as a "flying ambassador" for the Winter Olympics and Paralympics, making Olympic brand elements a part of ITA Airways' daily operations.
Coinciding with the deployment of this Olympic-themed A320 Airbus, ITA Airways has introduced several event-related passenger experience initiatives. These include customized business-class catering on select medium-haul flights and themed interactive activities in VIP lounges at Rome Fiumicino Airport and Milan Linate Airport.
Additionally, ITA Airways has set up a temporary brand showcase named SKYWAY in Piazza San Carlo, Milan, which will remain open until mid-March 2026. The showcase consists of two pavilions, designed to blend the airline's corporate colors and brand identity. The exterior of the pavilions is predominantly white, complemented by natural wood accents inspired by the Alpine silhouette, creating a unique visual style that reflects the integration of Italian culture, sportsmanship, and environmental awareness. One pavilion mimics an aircraft fuselage, with stylized mountain scenery displayed in its windows, emphasizing the connection between aviation and the mountain venues of the Winter Games. This installation aims to enhance brand visibility and attract public attention ahead of the event's opening.
From a fleet planning perspective, this Olympic-themed A320 Airbus livery is applied to a single aircraft and is not part of a large-scale fleet-wide livery update. The aircraft will continue to carry the Milano Cortina 2026 branding during its subsequent operations while performing regular commercial flights.
