Wedoany.com Report on Feb 11th, At the China Heavy-Duty Gas Turbine R&D and Manufacturing Base located in Lingang, Shanghai, the first prototype of the 300 MW class F-class heavy-duty gas turbine has completed relevant testing and verification. Lv Xuan, General Manager of the R&D and Design Division of China United Heavy-Duty Gas Turbine Technology Co., Ltd., stated: "The 300 MW class F-class heavy-duty gas turbine is the largest power and highest technical grade heavy-duty gas turbine independently developed by China for the first time."

This heavy-duty gas turbine consists of 5 major systems and over 50,000 precision components. Lv Xuan explained that the R&D team completed the entire manufacturing process based on forward design. The first prototype has successfully passed all whole-machine test items, including simple cycle performance tests and a 168-hour full-load trial operation, with all indicators meeting predetermined requirements.
Currently, the first prototype of this heavy-duty gas turbine has cumulatively achieved grid-connected power generation of 196 million kilowatt-hours. Its operation has verified the unit's stability performance in a real grid environment. The development of this project took 8 years, involving collaboration from over 200 enterprises and research institutes across 19 provinces and cities.
The successful development of the heavy-duty gas turbine provides a practical foundation for technological advancement in related fields. With the completion of verification for the first prototype, the related technological achievements are expected to be applied and further developed in a broader range of energy equipment fields.
