GJW Praha, a construction company, will soon see the delivery of three new CZ LOKO EffiShunter 1000 locomotives before the year's end.

The locomotives are equipped with the mobile part of the ETCS train protection system, enabling unrestricted operation on main lines in the Czech Republic even after the introduction of exclusive operation under this system's supervision.

All three units are currently under construction at the production plant in Jihlava.

This is another Czech rail construction company renewing its rolling stock for the use on corridor lines, with ETCS implementation approaching, forcing companies such as GJW Praha, Hrochostroj, or Subterra to go for new, ETCS-equipped rolling stock.
