Wedoany.com Report on Feb 13th, Clean Planet Technology, a subsidiary of the Clean Planet Group, has recently secured funding from the UK Department for Transport through the UK Sustainable Aviation Fuel Clearing House. This funding will be used to advance the next stage of certification and testing for its technology that converts waste plastic into sustainable aviation fuel, further accelerating the research and development process for sustainable aviation fuels.

This award is part of a package of funding announced today by the UK Department for Transport, aimed at supporting four sustainable aviation fuel innovators, including Avioxx Ltd, Clean Planet Technology Ltd, Green Lizard Technology Ltd, and Zero Petroleum Ltd. Through this funding, these companies can accelerate the testing, certification, and commercialization of the next generation of sustainable aviation fuels.

The UK Sustainable Aviation Fuel Clearing House plays a crucial role in the UK's aviation decarbonization strategy. It not only provides technical guidance and access to recognized testing facilities but also supports the ASTM certification process. This program helps advance the UK's goals for global sustainable aviation fuel deployment. Combined with the sustainable aviation fuel mandate and other measures, it reduces the risks associated with producing first-of-a-kind sustainable aviation fuels and promotes their widespread adoption.

Matthew Jee, Director of the UK Sustainable Aviation Fuel Clearing House, stated: "The UK Sustainable Aviation Fuel Clearing House is delighted to support Clean Planet Technology through this critical phase of fuel certification.

"The testing we facilitate provides the robust evidence base needed by producers and the industry to build confidence, unlock investment, and accelerate the deployment of new fuels. These awards underscore the UK Sustainable Aviation Fuel Clearing House's commitment to working closely with innovators to scale up sustainable aviation fuel production and achieve more sustainable progress within the UK aviation sector."
