During this year's Spring Festival travel period, passenger flow at Baiyun Airport has remained consistently high. For 11 consecutive days from February 5 to 15 before the holiday, daily passenger volume exceeded 260,000, with three consecutive days from February 11 to 13 surpassing 270,000. During the post-holiday return travel phase, the peak passenger flow climbed even higher. On February 20, Baiyun Airport's passenger throughput reached 275,500, and on February 21, it rose to 277,600, setting new single-day passenger records for the Spring Festival travel rush one after another.

On the 20th day of the Spring Festival travel season (February 21), Baiyun Airport handled 1,676 takeoffs and landings and facilitated 4,154.14 tons of cargo and mail, representing year-on-year increases of 7.37% and 9.1% respectively compared to the same period in the previous year's Spring Festival travel rush. Data shows that Baiyun Airport has become the first airport in China to exceed 5 million passenger trips during the 2026 Spring Festival travel season. As the Spring Festival holiday draws to a close, with the convergence of tourist, family visit, and return-to-work travel flows, the airport expects passenger numbers to remain high. To cope with the peak return travel flow, Baiyun Airport has deployed additional service staff in the terminal building to ensure smooth travel for passengers.
